So I just descended from the heights of the Santa Ana Volcano, and now I was standing at the edge of Lake Coatepeque. It's a volcanic crater lake, a millennia-old relic that occasionally turns teal due to its volcanic origins. I was there at just the right time, witnessing this rare phenomenon. The lake is a deep blue, reflecting the sky, and surrounded by lush hills. A red jet ski parked on a small jetty adds a pop of color, while a boat with a blue sail glides effortlessly on the water. This canvas captures that moment of serenity and awe, a snapshot of my second day in a country that I’ve already fallen in love with.
